Hi,

Im trying to tell a friend who lives 8 hrs away how to format their hdd...

she needs a list of components on her pc for drivers later on

unfortuantely she has no access to the net atm

so i thought that dixdiag would work? but i dont know the proper command - the one you use in Start, Run....diax something or other...

please help

Thanks in advance

how would she find the make n model of mobo, she cant get on the net...

after reinstalling then run everesthome would u say? but im not sure she gonna be able to get on net then...

any ideas?

no she dont have the mobo cd lol

Forget about who makes the motherboard at this point if your having trouble.
Concentrate on what make the network card is and make sure you have drivers for that. Format and reinstall, then get online and sort the rest out.

Failing that, can she use a screw driver?

Well if it is not a customer pc then what is the name and model of it?

if it is a customer one then open it up and have a look what mobo is it :)

Usually most common ones are AC 97 sound and Realtek Fast Ethernet
