hi all just wandering if anyone can help, ok a friend of mine had a 1366 i7 setup ( 920 ), with 2 x 1tb hdd, 1 x 120 gb corsair force 3 ssd, the usual optical drives etc etc, anyway when he tries to play f1 2013 and join an online game his loading times are about 3-4 times longer than anyone else, he swapped cables, sata ports, formatted pc several times, tried installing game on normal hdd, then on ssd, mustve tried tried 10 - 15 different configurations, so he was so fed up with it all he bought a new m/b + cpu + ram ( ivybridge i5 ), formatted reinstalled everything and still has the same problem,

this problem does happen in other games just not as bad as it is in f1 2013.

can anyone come up with a solution would be great.

oh and if he benchmarks his drive he gets good speeds according to as ssd.

From what I can get from that, you sure its not just his ISP slower then others?

Also 2013?
 
no m8 we had a lan recently, and thats when we noticed the difference really as everyone else were loading substantially quicker, even one guy who only had a mechanical hdd, it also does it now online but he has virgin 100 mb line,
 
Make sure all the ports required by the game are open on the firewall as well as allowing the game through the firewall(s) both software & or hardware firewall.

F1 2010 + 2011 had terrible online its codemasters :rolleyes: this stuff is an afterthought to them on PC :( it barely works on F1 2011 it even crashes constantly whilst loading MP matches up!
 
hmm weird well he didnt try that, but he did find out that if he plays in full screen mode it loads slowly, but if he plays in windowed mode but max window size, it loads up very quick indeed, never seen that b4
