Formula 1 game

EA Sports F1 99-02 is the most recent F1 game for the PC I think. I believe Sony bought all the rights for F1 games and they've only produced Console versions. Although it's quite old now, the graphics are still good in my opinion. I bought my copy from Ebay.

Seconded... Set at 1280by1024 and AA, AF, etc all turned up still looks very good. AND! And, you can update it to 2005 Season :D

LFS site is down, see http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17572036 for why.

GP3 is a bit old now, GP4 is the current favourite I would say. But LFS and rFactor both now either have an F1 car or have an F1 mod being made.

LFS has the BMW Sauber, people have made skins for the other cars so you can race with the whole grid, even though physically its the BMW.

There is a group of mods currently working on an F1 mod for rFactor. It WILL be quality. The quality of their stuff for GP4 was/is stunning.

Granted the EA offering and GPL are good F1 games, if you want the latest graphics and best cars then I would tryout LFS and rFactor.

Grand Prix 3 or 4? I think they're regarded as the best PC F1 games.

grand prix 4 is probably the most buggy and useless game on the pc. its almost unuseable, and they stoped supporting it after just one shoddy patch.

Gp3 and F1 2002 (well F1 99-02) are the best F1 games for pc, and as already said, the EA sports F1 99-02 can be played at high res, high AA these days and look stunning....

Im STILL ****** that F1 sold all rights to sony who only cover one market segment.......

No Swearing! FF.

Looks like rfactor will be the top f1 game for pc shortly when ctdp f1 2005 mod is released
You speaketh the truth. CTDP did some good stuff for GP4 but rFactor will really allow them to excel. They recently released the Bahrain track for rFactor and it is kind of
":eek::eek::eek::eek:" 5 star EEK!! They didn't announce the track beforehand though, they just released it.

Hopefully once the 2005 mod is released, it won't take them as long to do the 2006 mod, having a fair proportion of the work done.

If I remember correctly, not only does rFactor allow physics to be unique to each team but also the state of the graphics. So McLaren could be quite down on power, Williams stop a lot and Midland and Super Aguri are crap but also McLaren's chrome livery can be shown off by enhancing shinyness etc.

Keep an eye on http://forum.rscnet.org/showthread.php?t=238198 for the latest on the CTDP mod.
