Formula 1 Online (Codemasters) beta

I'd rather stab myself in the face for eternity, with a rusty folk than touch another codemaster f1 game.

Get ready to fill your boots with promises not meet terrible bugs littering the game, a poor optimized game that runs very poorly. Pa team that tells lie after lie. Think im done with codey and there f1 games.

Huge f1 fan who as brought there previous titles on day one. this sucker wont be fooled again.

I fired up F1 2011 yesterday for the first time in months and actually rather enjoyed it, looks great and runs super smooth plus decent ffb. Not really a bad game if you forgive it for not being a hardcore sim.

I'm not really into management games so will probably give this a miss, looks good though.

This is a free online game from what I hear. It may surprise you... just don't expect a full on sim, be realistic.

I thought it was closed beta still?

Stabbing anything with rusty folk is an impressive feat. :D

I did play briefly through the tutorial and got through that. At the end though I accidentally hit the back button in my browser and then it wouldn't let me go back in as I was already logged in.

NDA though so all this was a dream and never actually happened.

codemasters.... at some point in the devlopment cycle their games must be great, then they add in all the menus and cut scenes and unskippable ****, and turn it into trash

I remember signing up for a chance at getting into the beta at some point in 2011, still waiting for confirmation that I have access.

You know, F1 2010 ran like poop on my old Q6600 5770's x-fired. It was so bad, i thought it was just a poorly coded engine and i'm sure i moaned about it on these forums.. HOWEVER, on my new rig, (7950, 2600k, Z77) it runs absolutely perfect, not a single bit of microstutter ANYWHERE in the game. Actually it is so faultless that I've started playing it again just for the awe of it all.

Modern F1 games generally remind me of F1'98 on the PSX.

Anyone who owned F1'95 and 97 will know what I mean... F1'95 was a classic, F1'97 improved on it in almost every way (both were developed by Bizarre Creations) and then another developer took over and F1'98 was utter dog ****.

It's been the same with every other officially licensed F1 game since, Geoff Crammond needs to pull his finger out and get to work on GP5. :p
