OK so as it says below I have the Asus Crosshair V Formula Z Motherboard ,and well I have to ask is it normal for it to take up to one and a half minutes to boot , then once I login it takes anywhere from 30 seconds to over a minute to connect to the Internet ?.....My M5A99X EVO was much faster booting , So I must assume there is and always has been something wrong with the Board yes ? ...I did a short time ago update the Mobo's BIOS..but it was the same before that

All I have on the start up is my Anti Virus and my Creative Sound Blaster Software , Also it doesnt seem to make any difference if I even unplug all Hard drives apart from the SSD that OS is on

I've got the exact same board and mine only takes about 10 seconds to get to the Windows logon screen (booting from an SSD). It definitely sounds like either a configuration problem or there's something wrong with the actual board...

Have you gone into the BIOS and checked the boot options? Is it searching for a hard drive or USB drives that aren't present? Is your Windows drive selected as your Primary boot device? Also you can adjust the amount of time the ASUS splashscreen is displayed, mines 1 second. It MIGHT be set to like 30 seconds or something and that's why it's taking ages to boot...

I haven't actually ..Ill go have a look at that now see how its set

that slowest part of the boot up is the " Starting Windows" as the Asus screen is only up for a couple of seconds

I have the crosshair V formula and it is a slower boot than my previous boards. The main wait is to show the post screen but after that it is quite quick. Possibly 30-45 secs including login. Once in windows it is quick to setup network etc.

OK so went into BIOS and I have my 830 SSD set as the primary boot device it seemed as though my other SSD ( for my games )was set to the primary boot device ..and it took about 35 seconds to get to my login screen from the pc being Off ... I would rather re-check later when the pc has been off for a few hours
