Hi guys and gals.

I'll be putting a pc together in the next couple of months, and just wanted to know if there's any new tech on the immediate horizon? I'm about a year out of date I think, so just want to know if there are any new generations of mobos, gfx cards or cpus out in the not too distant future... Anything that I should be aware of? IE stuff that will offer benefits over currently available tech?

And hopefully cheaper prices on the current stuff you should buy.

My bet is the new GPUs wont give much over what the 8800 GT will give you for the price and a whole new socket is approaching for CPUs.

Stay clear of DDR3 and unless you are running crossfire the 35 chipset is just the biscuit.
