I played Fortnite once with my young nephew. Absolute rubbish but its what the young gamers are playing i suppose and they have the time.
On a similar topic, I read an article in the Guardian about Roblox. Blimey. Having never played it I had no idea what it entailed. Sounds wild, might have to download it and try and upset this journalist a little more
In seven days my young alter ego is cyberbullied and attacked while exploring clubs, casinos and horror games, all with parental controls in place. Is the platform safe for children – or an ‘X-rated paedophile hellscape’?
They each fill 2 facets of the point and shoot genre and do it reasonably well. Fortnite - yeah, it’s rubbish if your expecting realistic, but at the same time its not trying to be, instead its more light hearted fun. Lots of changes with maps, characters and game modes … it’s an easy pick up and play game which can be done with friends. Will it be around in 10 years … likely yes, as it’s more a platform ( like Roblox ) its evolving into.
