Still doesnt defeat the fact that TF2 is a great fun game rather than a game with upgraded graphics. I personally didnt like Team Fortress and TF2 offered a new experience.
 
Drat! I knew I should have put a caveat that no TF2 vs FF discussion was allowed to happen! ;P

Can't say I've played TF2, but I like the speed and nades etc that you get in FF, it's something that I look for in a fortress game. Obviously though, both games are good in their own rights (and I don't see why people feel they have to choose one or the other, why not play both?), as TF2 has a huge player base.

The point of the thread though was to help spread the word about FF to those who don't know about it, and to those who have played it, didn't like it, but may like it now there have been a few changes.

Personally I'm hoping that this patch will bring a few more players to the game (I guess I'll see tonight when I get a chance to play), but I'm not getting my hopes up ;).
 
i loved tfc on the hl1 engine, but i cannot get FF to work .... when i try to load it up ... i gets to the blurry opening screen and then just takes me back to my desktop, as if the game has excited....

i have tried running source sdk and deleting clientreg.blob with no joy.....

on the trouble shooting guide it advises deleting the menus music mp3 ... i cannot find it...

any ideas guys??

Valve probably added a update to the sdk to screw people over so they dont loose players to a mod.
 
I'm having trouble downloading this game 2 sites on the download page aren't working anywhere else I can download to give this a try?


Also does it have 2fort :)
