Just formatted my computer and forgot about having to re-install the black OcUK theme. Clicked onto the forum and oh my god this blue theme is absolutely disgusting! It's far too bright, its burning my eyes and the white on blue is really difficult to read

Anyone else despise the old blue theme after going to the black?

Also when is the official black theme coming into play?

If you can install Stylish or Greasemonkey on it then it should be possible. But they are both Firefox addons so most probably not :/

I agree totally, even on a good quality and calibrated monitor I think white on black looks awful, my eyes just can't cope with it. If I go to any websites that use white on black, I just have to hit ctrl-alt-cmd-8 to invert it to be able to read it.

I feel inclined to try that keyboard combination to see if it works Cue my PC shutting down...

I use the blue theme at the moment - But I'd prefer them to release the dark theme officially so I can change it on the board instead of an addon

What I don't like, is, every time I refresh, the old blue layout flashes, but I suppose that is a fault of greasemonkey and firefox.

Never happens on Stylish for me, try that.

Finally decided to try this darker theme out.

I'm not going back to that blue. Had it since 2003. Once you go black...

I swear this black theme is different to when it was first announced, because i changed back then but went back to blue. But i think i'll be sticking with this grey theme from now on.
Only problem being it seems to flash the blue one for a millisecond each new page before turning to black.

Are you using greasemonkey or stylish? Try it with stylish if you're on Firefox and see if it still happens.

Oooohh! I can't seem to load the user style properly, or maybe I am just being stupid and not doing it correctly... Or is it due to the fact I am using IE8?

All I am doing is saving the user script for ie7pro and opening it which causes this error:

I know nothing about how to make one + i bet i wouldn't have the patients either.

Just copy the template of the black theme and learn a bit of CSS, why would you need patients?
