Yes, don't click the "remember me" box and it won't remember you for 30 days.

So is having your account compromised.

And yet Amazon doesn't need me to...?

So it's because of the Market? So all forums/accounts for all purposes are affected, for a feature most users don't use?

Why not limit the authentication to beng able to post on that section? (Ideally)

We looked at this, it can't be done.

That's a shame because probably 99% of users probably don't use the MM

User security is one of our greatest concerns. How would you feel if your account was compromised, someone posted on MM and ripped off another member? Luckily, we noticed before any harm was done but protecting our members from possible scams is vital otherwise the MM (which has many, many users) would completely lose the reputation it has.

Understood, and yet the likes of Amazon and similar survive without 30day verification.

Shame it's required here... Anyhoo if it's the only way to solve the problem...

I have a domain. So I tailor email addresses. Eg: [email protected], or [email protected].

Easy, and obviously a touch more secure, and can be useful. Eg: I spotted an insurance company selling my details once to other firms.

What has Amazon got to do with anything? Administrators of OcUK want to mandate 2FA, it's their choice. Amazon isn't the gospel of web security.

You'll probably spend more time tying your shoe laces in a year vs authenticating yourself every 30 days.

I have slip ons I do spend more time brushing my teeth, but that's as stupid an analogy as shoe laces...

It's a simple point/request so stop being so white knighty.
