I'm a member of another forum where there is a live online radio show where a handful of forum members discuss the forum and wider topics while others post in a live thread. It's then also available to download as a podcast. The hosts change all the time with different people from the forum volunteering, although there are a couple of people who do it often.

I am pretty sure this would be fraught with challenge for OcUK given the lack of control over the hosts and the family friendly nature etc. but it would be great.

I can't be bothered to do it, but perhaps someone else would crack on and make it so.

I don't know why, but I would like this to happen.

Probably quite a lot of hard work for someone. But perhaps there's someone on the forum who wants a project to brush up on their podcasting/presenting skills.

A whole hour of pooping through letter boxes, And arguing about eu plugs on a UK compliance while also doing a giveaway for a freezer.

Sounds awesome.

But how would the Moderators here be able to control it so that only what they liked could be said and who would save the sensitive little ********** from such nastiness as someone having a different opinion to them?

Meh... not sure I would be bothered about listening...

Also, I could see Overclockers (the company) not being too interested/enthusiastic unless it tied in with the store etc. and was moderated heavily.

Well, that's one way of finally settling the AMD vs Nvidia debate.

Could someone explain to me why people are so passionate about a brand they get so enraged by it? Some of the things I read, I just cannot imagine being so frustrated by someone saying their brand is better, so much that I end up arguing my life away about it.

Why can't people just get over it or ignore it? Life's way too short.

Genuine question.

I'm guessing that for a lot of people they want to validate their purchasing choices, and justify why the card they bought was the best one.

I can't see very many wanting to spend the time producing one. YouTube has enough content to keep people happy and I can't see this getting very far.

I think it somewhat stems out of something that is more particular to GPUs than in general whereby in the early days one or other brand would at times make a break through in performance or support for the latest games that the other brand(s) had a hard time following with the result that people who'd just bought into the brand(s) that didn't come off so well would get defensive.

Cheers gents - fair explanation.

Back OT - a podcast could be rather amusing. It would be tough to get the right people doing it, but a weekly round up of the most active threads across the forums would be worth a listen.

Yep, you could have different focus for different shows. e.g hardcore nerding out over the latest case screws one week vs GD regulars talking about brony photoshops
