Forum Software . . .

Guys,

I've done a quick search but found nothing of use. I need some software to make a discussion forum, just like this one. Now, I'm not very ofay with PHP or MySQL. Are there any packages out there that are fairly easy to set up and customise with colour schemes etc?

What Forum Software do *you* use?

Also, for the Admins/Mods.

How easy do you find vBulliten to use from an Administrative POV. Is it easy to use? If you wouldn't mind, would you please take a screen shot of some of the configuration pages? I'd try myself, but I'm travelling overseas at the moment and only have my laptop.

Basically, I'm after the pros and cons of the Forum software that you guys use - from all aspect - for a work project.

Invision Power Board is very easy to use and set up, aswell as the installation of skins and such.

PHPBB is also very easy, though I don't like it and much prefer IPB.

This forum uses vBulletin forum software, which is definately my favourite one, I've never operated one before though so can't comment on ease of use.

I would strongly recomend Seditio www.neocrome.net

Exceptionally easy to setup and configure, tons of plugins and active support forums.

Seditio example sites I have made or have been involved with:

and I have very little experience with php/mysql.

Alternatives to Seditio are:

PHPBB
MyBB
VBulletin
IPB

but as I say I would strongly recomend Seditio.

Vbulletin if you want to run a Pro Forum, and it has the great VBSEO available

I use MYBB and I have no complaints.
