Forum time V Browsing time

I only have 5 or 6 sites I regularly visit, so the forums are generally always open in a tab ready to be F5'd.

Any suggestions for daily browsing sites much appreciated btw.

My sites I open when I turn PC on:

  • GMail
  • OcUK
  • YouTube
  • Engadget
  • WonderHowTo
  • Facebook
  • GolfGTI

After I have viewed all of them it goes like this.

  • OcUK
  • F5
  • Post
  • F5
  • F5
  • F5
  • Post
  • F5
And so on :p

Probably 6:4 ratio of forums to everything else. I spend quite a bit of the time reading the news online as well, you know how it is... having to keep up with current affairs lol (sarcasm).

99% forums (although this isn't my primary forum), I don't really use the net for much else other than online gaming.

How long do you reckon you spend on a forum compared to general browsing?

I reckon mine is a 80/20 split towards forums.

Prob about the same for me. I stopped 'browsing' back in 2000 when the web started to become more mainstream and commercialised. It also lost its magic as well. First time I went on the net (1996) it was pretty mind blowing having all this knowledge at your fingertips and being able to goto a chat room and talk to random people all over the world. Now it doesn't seem the same.

I was on a lot later (started around 2002), but I feel the same as you. It's just not as special as it was.
