Forums or websites to help finding names of obscure films?

Hi All

As per the title, does anyone know of any forums or websites where I might be able to get help finding the name of a very obscure film I saw bits of years ago and know virtually nothing about???

To make matters worse, it's a foreign film, possibly french...
 
It's really really vague!!!

It's a film I saw years ago (I believe on channel 4, uk) sometime around 1994 - 1997 ish - though I have no idea of the year of the film.

I remember very little about the film apart from two things, and I'm not 100% they are both from the same film but I think they are.

1) A group of a few people are transported through time (I think) and end up in the country side in something like the 1400s.

2) The second thing I remember is an old man at a desk or worktop (possibly a watchmaking station) a young girl walks in with another girl. He appears to be blind.

She speaks to the old man, she is his daughter and says something like "Father, this is my friend" He replies with "bring her to me I'd like to see her".

He then proceeds to raise his hands up to feel her face...

As I say, I'm not even entirely sure they are both from the same film but I think they are.

I think the film was French, or maybe Spanish.

I know this is a hugely long shot but I'd love to know what the film was!!!
 
Whilst I've got no idea, that's a far better explanation than some 'name me that film' threads get, best of luck!

Do you know roughly when you saw it?, to rule out newer films..
