A few months back i bought myself a xbox 360. Therefore i had to dig out my old router from a few years back ( A Netgear MR814v2 ) to get myself on xbox live. Well i got it all running great, but i could no longer host a game of Rfactor with my mates to race with.

But since its half term next week i wanted to get it all up and running if possible, as it is possible to host a game of Rfactor by opening some ports in the routers web access.

And so i commenced doing so, following a guide from here: www.portforwarding.com : to get myself a static ip address and to forward the correct ports for Rfactor http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Netgear/MR814/rFactor.htm

The ports which need to be opened are... 34297,34397 and 34447

I did all this following the guide, and yet nobody can find or join my server which im hosting.

Could anybody shed some light onto what i might be doing wrong, or give any other info the guide dosnt provide ?

Sorry forgot to say, Rfactor is a pc game. I had to use a router to get my xbox on live. I suppose the xbox is not important :p

But still the same process right ?

*edit*

I give them my ip which i got from www.whatsmyip.org and they still cant connect, or see my server in the list.
