Forza 2 bods look in - Car Setup

Hey Guys

Im getting back into forza motorsport and i have a question for you. How important is actually setting up your car .... I have just bought a gallardo and put all the trick bits on to keep it as a group A still and was looking through the car setup last night. It all looks a bit complicated :p

Can you download setups or do most people just not bother

Ive found it can make a lot of difference. I was sceptical at first but after doing some of the weekly hotlap challenges and dowloading set-ups that were used to do proper fast laps I was able to knock off upto 4 seconds from my fastest time. You can also download set-up calculators, there should be some links on the forza forums.
 
I don't do an awful lot, but if I find a car is way too under/oversteery then I'll go in and tweek the anti-roll and suspension to find that perfect balance. Or the perfect unbalance if I'm tuning a car to be a drift beast. :D

If I try and do too much I get bored or end up forgetting what I've done and fluffing the whole thing up.
 
Don't get to hung up on set ups but Yes they can help a Good driver lap faster, Nothing will make a crap driver lap faster though.
No point me giving tips as I don't know your driving style.
If I was you I'd take the car for a 6 lap spin @default then post back here what you don't like about it & then we can go from there.
Pick a Well known track as well or it won't help.

There is an art to setting it up, some things seem counter-intuitive, but as mentioned, it can really improve laptimes..
 
This still get much action online on public servers?

Used to love Forza then just stopped playing it, but would like to get back into it if there is enough chances to pickup a MP game without hassle

Used to play up untill my xbox bust, servers were full of decent racers as most of the idiots had moved onto new games to ruin.

went on earlier, connected to 1 career with 2 idiots doughnuting, then in exhibtion there was 5 people :(

not sure if ill bother much more - will try tonight when it is possibly at peak though
 
I had a few games with a mate on Saturday morning before the footy and there was plenty of games around, had quite a few good races!
 
Will have to organise some OCUK forza evenings then, well once Ive got a new box. Ive always found that if you get a room going with people you know/race regularly you can have some very good races.
