hi

when forza 2 comes out im thinking about getting a steering wheel?

what one should i get,is the ms official one good???

p.s i dont want any pedals as i normally sit on the floor when playing games.

cheers

The MS one is quite good with the FM2 demo.

What i would say is though, need to watch the config as they may not allow you to use the buttons for accel and brake.

do you remove the pedals from your real car and sit cross legged on the seat? :p

That sounds like one mental setup, I'd just stick with the pad.

Wheel is great with FM2 by the way.

 thanks

but does it work without the pedals as i have not got the room for the complete setup?

cheers

the pedals just go on the floor and have the surface area of about an A4 piece of paper. You seem to be overcomplicating the issue. just buy the MS wheel. tis good.

I'd love to buy a wheel but I'm not sure how much use it would get, maybe once I move my PC's and consoles into my new room I'll get one then.

I did have one on the PC and it really did make driving games a lot more fun.

truth is I just don't see how you'll use a wheel without pedals, but that's just me.

the MS wheel has buttons in the centre but they are definitely not in confortable reaching distance while your turning the wheel about.

If I get one I'll have to use an ironing board to hold it :p

Edit: Cheapest I've seen one is for £75 from a reliable place but they are not in stock. Is this a good price and is it worth waiting?

I got the ironing board out the other day as Cliffyg originally suggested and it works pretty well - although it slides around a bit on wooden floors. I don't see myself using the xbox wheel that much because of the hassle involved in setting it up each time. For me, moving the xbox out of the living room kinda defeats the purpose of having one.
