Forza 2 drivers get together

Hi all...

Firstly, respect to OC's, always has been an awesome place to shop online!

Right, if any of you out there, who are over 21, fancy getting your Forza 2 used more than ever, then you are welcome to have a look at the following website...

There's a Forza 2 driving get together every couple of week, they currently have a session running that spans 3 weeks! Easy to get involved in, and simple rules - sadly, only 21 and over for the site. It's for Ancient Relics you see (hence the AR of ARC). I know that 22 isn't ancient, but it keeps people who don't know how to conduct themselves at bay...

You do the racing in your own personal time that's best for you, and your times are then posted via XBlive. Once you're added to the right friends lists, you times can be published and the final grid spots put up at the end. You'll see what I mean. They sometimes do gigs online together as well in Forza 2. Drivers of all levels are welcomed, it just helps keep Forza 2 alive and often expand your own ability within the game...

The site also has nights where they get together and have battles with Halo, and other FPS's as well, etc, etc, so if you think you'd be interested, go and have a poke around.

Yep, even I had stopped driving before. It's a shame when it has so much to offer, there are loads of people using other 360 titles as well. When Forza 3 comes out, I'm sure it'll keep running and the numbers will continue to grow. They're a good friendly bunch. If it gets our 360 used even more, then that's always a good thing!

BTW, when I joined - I used a hotmail account and didn't get the confirmation email, it wasn't a problem, as I logged in a couple of days later and it was fine.

Roll on the pics for the game, apparently - they've managed to squeeze loads more out of the console this time around!

Give it a couple of months, I reckon there will be a fixed announcement and some decent images to start to get our interest!!

Don't forget, whilst you are waiting for your confirmation e-mails, use my tag and send me a friend request!

You can start to drive and be setting times before you are logging into the site, so you don't need to wait a couple of days or anything. Dreadi's sent me a FR and I already get his lap-time updates!!


Again, as I said earlier, I didn't get a confirmation e-mail, but I went back after a couple of days and I could get in!!

They do have sessions where ppl get together as well online, you can even join guys in different regions as well...! They also do other stuff other than Forza 2, if you're interested in that! Me, I just drive...

So if the OZ guys get a racing venue sorted, you can join in - just use the forum to let them know that you plan to join in the session! You don't have to be from OZ to take part! Simple...


The one advantage of offline, and why ppl do this, is because it isn't dependant on anyone making, or not making, the session. With the best intention in the world, sometimes ppl wanna race online - but then life gets in the way...

The thing I like about each session is that it gets you posted on XBlive regardless!!

I did TT7, set my time - following the TTC rules (no set-ups, or mods) and then went back to the session after the close of the comp - I managed to drive the 65th fastest time in the world...

It's something I wouldn't have got unless I'd done the TTC beforehand and then downloaded a setup...

Only thing I'm not too keen on here is it is all "offline time trials" which were all very well in GT4 etc.. but some proper races would be fun

PLS don't worry about being a new Forza 2 driver OK! We have some people who don't play the game much tool!! You can look at any of your 'friends' replays, and if you ask for any help at all - you'll always get a reply mate, seriously!

We've got ppl who use all the aids, some manual gears, etc, etc - you can't go wrong mate.

I'd gladly tell you everything that I use to drive as well as I can if you thought it would help! It's a good bunch, regardless of how fast/slow you are. It makes NO difference dude!

There's loads of time for TTC 8 currently, it's a nice 'grippy' car and a lovely curcuit as well!

You'll get better in Forza, it will help bring your driving on no-end!

This would be an excellent place to turn your gears off!!

As there's plenty of time to post times dude.

I lost (sorry gained, my lap times increased) 2 seconds a lap with auto turned on! I tried it at this circuit - see the post ion the TTC 8 comp section. I know you'll have a new learning curve with manual gears when you switch, but your times will tumble and you have so much extra control with manual!

You can use gears to help control speed, rev up to the redline, and can short shift on corners where you struggle for grip.

If you need anything at all, give me a shout on arc dude. I'm going to post in your intro post now!

I drive with most aids off actually. Only two I haven't turned off yet are Automatic Gears and ABS.

Need to get used to braking before turning ABS off cause I just go into a skid.

I'm pleased to see that this Overclockers member (Gornall) got his connection sorted and has placed in the Forza time trials over at ( http://www.clan-arc.com/ttc-f63/ )...

We currently have 2 drivers, split over a 3 lap session using Arcade>Exhibition Race, who are 6 x 1000th's of a second apart over 3 laps!

It's as close as F1!

It's easy to get involved in and enter... And gets Forza 2 used again!

All drivers are split regarding their own level of drving skills, help aids, etc... and all are welcome!!!!

If any driver needs any help, they simply ask - and it will be sorted!!

Just need to be 21+ for the site...
