forza 2....locking up when applying decals??

Right, just got a 360 and forza 2. Tonight I decided to customise my car, so decided put some decals on it. The only thing is whenever I browse the decals (any decals at all this is!) the game completely locks up after a few seconds?

Any ideas?

no the disc is in perfect condition, infact its brand new. Strange
