Forza 2 - Return or not?

Today I have received Forza 2 LE.

It's here on my desk, sealed and ready to play.

It was sent last week from Singapore at 07:20 last Wednesday.

On the same day, I received an email from the supplier saying, and I quote:

We have shipped out the xbox360 forza motorsport 2 game to u but due to the game cannot be played in your console, please send back the game to us. PLEASE DO NOT OPEN THE PACKAGE.

Ship back to:

We will refund u the money only when we receive the return game.

Few things sprung out. The 'h4xx0r' language didn't seem professional, maybe they are been trendy, who knows. But I replied and asked if this was genuine and got a reply saying...

Hi

Yes this email is true, there's some problem with the game. We are recalling them all back

We will give u your full refund

I've checked the headers of the emails, and they do look genuine, but I can't help but feel something isn't right!

Anyone else bought a game from "MegCD" in Singapore and had these emails?

I thought that Pike, which would be genuine, but Forza2 afaik is region free.
 
LOL! Not opened it, the instructions say no and I don't want any problems in returning it if it's opened.

I'll just have to wait till Thursday/Friday until another one comes.

Rear of box says "For use only with Xbox 360 entertainment systems with "NTSC-J" designation."

And just WHAT proof so you require because "when" I prove it, believe me, you're making a public apology for brandishing me as a liar!!
