Forza 2 top speeds

dont think there is a thread on this but i got a new charger and tuned it up to 1096bhp, using the benchmark it goes 236mph, but i dont have a gearbox on it yet so not messed with the gears.

was wondering what speeds people have got out of what cars. anyone broke 300mph?

is the bowl the only track you can test for striaght line speed? i took all the wing of for max speed but i cant take the corners unlss i doin about 180 then i run out of road at the end of the straight and smash in the wall at about 220.
 
i have a ford gt40 fully tuned for the nissan speedway

261mph top speed :p theres a exploit for the r1 cars were if you juggle the gears between 1 and 2 you can hit 410mph
 
Have a check out of the leaderboards on R1 cars at the Nissan Speedway, the top time is something stupid like 25 seconds. You can view the replay, he hits 350mph plus.. Not sure how though....

I've been on Forza career quite a while now, level 30 or so, and still not seen the Nurburgring...does it ever appear in career mode?

You should get it soon maybe level 40 at the most .

yer, its one of the last tracks that unlocks. Although you race it whenever you want using the arcade mode.

have a look at the forza 2 forums, people have found a glitch. Apparently its been fixed in the next update,.

I think it's easily the best track in the game, such a great challenge. I've done so many laps of it in Free Run that I almost know it off by heart now. :)

With regards to the OP, I did manage to get that scary TVR Speed 12 up to 252mph on the Speedway. Shame I had trouble controlling the beast (without STM and TCS) coming out of Turn 4, so I couldn't really progress up the leaderboard as far as I would like.

If you keep playing the demo then you should deffo buy or rent the game, it's far, far better in the full version, loads of cars and more tracks.

Oh and you can play around designing your own car graphics.
 
The GT40 is the fastest car doing speeds in the region of 260mph. Then again i like to race round tracks with bends online :P. My S Class Caymen can pull 0-60 in 2.4 seconds, 196MPH top speed and brake from 60-0 in 93ft :cool:
