forza 3 Horizon PC issues

I have a well spec'd,machine

Asus Hero VIII
6700K CPU
16Gb Corsair Vengence 3200
M2 SD and a seperate Samsung Evo Prop 500
1080GTX Palit Game Rock

Latest motherboard drivers
Latest Nvidia drivers
3dmark 18,400 odd

forza @1440p runs at an average of 85 fps, peaks at 115 and doesnt go below 75, I seem to be getting a lot of stuttering

any suggestions please? thjis appears to be the only one Im having issues with

There is a huge thread with many posts answering the same issue.

When the game is running go to task manager, details tab, right click on forza, set priority to low and then click affinity, untick core 0 and more often than not that helps most peoples stuttering.

yes I realisethat, but was undetr the impression that the issues had been fixed on last update (03/10), clearly not the case for all then i guess.
