Thought it would be nice to have a Clean thread on Specific Racing & Tuning set ups for Forza 3 now it's been out long enough to have a good idea of whats what.

1.
My Tip would be to Switch the Clutch/Handbrake buttons in the controller options & drive with a Clutch as this will shave a Second a lap off your times Immediately & more once you have your head around it. With the A button as clutch you can just roll onto it with your thumb as you select your gear.
The difference this has made to my times is unreal, Last night I placed six hundred & summit  Where as before I have been down around the 2-3k mark. I can't remember where/what/how though as I was so messed up & just went on for more racing. :o I do know I was top of my friends list for the First time though.

2.
Always use the Weight reduction option, remember Power to weight ratio. ;)

3.
Pumping the brakes when using ABS helps turn in No end. :)

4.
Brake before entering a corner.

5.
Sliding round a corner may look bad ass, but is very slow.

6.
Don't bury the throttle off the start line or you'll just wheelspin and set off slower, match your revs to what the computer is revving to when the race is starting.

7.
If starting in the middle of the grid, hang back to avoid the inevitable first corner mayhem!

Your turn & I will come back & clean this up as & when.

I feel i have turned a corner with my tuning recently & wanted to Pass on the info I had gathered that had brought me on.

Here is the Tuning calculator I have been using recently. Not perfect but it does the Maths for you & gives a Superb starting point for tuning, Once i have dialed in the figures & set them it doesn't take no more than a few laps to perfect the tune.
