Forza 6 announced

Earlier, like July/August would be nice.

Given they will only start showing the game at E3 in June, that's unlikely.

They need to seriously revamp the SP game in Forza, last 2 have been stale, and also have more tracks and race variety from the off this time.

Wasn't sure when E3 takes place in the year. I think this has got to be out before 2016 as the Forza site mentions the 10th anniversary of the Forza series.

I barely played Forza 3 as Forza 4 was almost out by the time I got my Xbox 360. Forza 5 was, as you say a bit stale. I felt it was improved graphically but then being on the Xbox One you would expect/hope that. The extra tracks released for Forza 5 were nice but should have been present from the off. I was thinking just the other day that it's been a bit quiet track wise for Forza 5 and that anytime now they might announce a new track. Guess they won't now.

I also thought that Forza 6 was coming very soon after Forza 5 but a quick check on Wikipedia shows that it will be about 2 years by the time Forza 6 comes out and that there's been a new Forza every 2 years so the schedule is being kept to.

Ironic that Ford enters into a license agreement for a Microsoft exclusive video game when Ford dropped Microsoft as the primary os provider for it's in car Ford sync systems in favour of blackberry...

Anyhow, hopefully turn 10 go back to roots and just update froza 3 as that was a fantastic game and still one of the best arcade / sim racers I've played last gen.

I expect a release this year. Given it's thr 10th anniversary of the series it woul dbe very strange to not have a game out.

Yep, buy 75% on launch for 100% of the cost then spend loads more to get the missing 25% :(

I really detest DLC in car games.
It is annoying. I spent nearly £60 I think it was on a Limited Edition version of Forza 5 and still didn't get that much extra DLC for my money I thought.

Forza is the only series that really makes me want an XB1. It is going to be interesting as more information comes out as if Project CARS is actually as good on consoles as promised then Forza could have some serious competition.

Project cars in its current form on pc in beta stages has come along quite nicely and I can say the weather affects and ai are superb and will pose some serious competition to not only forza but also the gt series on PlayStation..

Project cars has from the start been about passion for track racing. it's based all around a model of clean serious racing, and the content that project cars provides is polished to extreme, now as to if that holds an interest to the public. remains to be seen..

forza 3 was a fun, accessible and content rich game imo and gt 6 is a game crammed full to the brim with content but severely lacking in sounds and discipline..

Project cars is meant to offer the most realistic sounding , feeling and authentic track day experience...

so if project cars does deliver on this, then yes serious competition and much needed imo.

So any rumours about a release date? September/October 2015 I reckon. Earlier, like July/August would be nice.

Yeah it'll be Fall. There's traditionally a launch in that slot to get traction for Thanksgiving/Christmas sales. Only 5 didn't after to got tied in as a launch title.

As for the game itself I'll echo my comments on a Forza community from yesterday :

I'm going to contain my excitement, with FM5 being a half finished buggy pile of bits.

I pre-ordered FM3,4 and 5. I will not be ordering 6 until the reviews are in from my peers and we actually find out if we get a complete game with things like lobby points sorting and distance meters this time. I'm sure beardy dan will bleat on about how they've added fractal modelled corrosion to brake discs, while completely dodging any questions about features the community who actually race have been requesting for years or that worked well in FM2 and got stuck off.

I sincerely hope my cynicism is misplaced, but I'm not willing to bet any of my hard earned on it this time...

So ... who's getting the short straw and buying the beta, sorry Day One edition? ;)

If this is anything like 5 i wont be buying it.
I think 5 was designed just to screw more cash out of idiots with more money than sense.
:o

Yeah it'll be mid-November at the latest if they want it out for Thanksgiving, beginning of December for the Christmas market.

That'll probably be me then, see above. ;):D

Massive Forza fan since 2 so really looking forward to this. Well, I would be if I had an xbone.

I'm not too bothered about the "career" mode as I have always used the list mode- hopefully this is retained!

I swore when I got 5 it's be my last one (got every one). They have been becoming slowly more and more of a grind, more arcadey, less fun and have less features each time. I just find it boring now each championship which basically says "Right, now you've raced all the tracks, do them all again in a subtly different car!". It's even making Laguna Seca boring... and I LOVE that track!

I wouldn't mind less cars, I don't generally drive 50% of them (I don't want 87 different flavours of the same Ferrari), but more tracks (not just 65 different variations of the same five tracks). And the single player just needs something more than just 150 slightly different championships to grind through.

When I got Horizon 2 I figured my driving lust had changed and I would just stick with the Horizon sub series. Still, I can't help but have that "Oooo new Forza!" tingle... must... resist!
