Forza Begging Letter

I've fell out with this game, after playing through the crap Ive gone and spent all my cash modding a rubbish american car that is now undrivable.
Sell it, you get most of the money back. Always balance your upgrades, power versus grip/handling. If you just increase power without improving the grip and handling you'll always end up with something undriveable. A lot of the american cars have horrible handling to start with too. No reason why you have to complete that particular series, just move onto another series.

Also you can use the time trials in arcade mode to test a car before you buy it.

Earning money should be very straight forward. You must be either still doing the proving grounds races or blowing all your money on upgrades. Some of the power upgrades aren't worth doing because they ruin the handling. Start with weight reduction, then better tyres, springs, ARBs, brakes, then start increasing the power, but not massively, just the minor stuff.

Some of the cars I haven't upgraded at all since they handle really well to start with. A lot of others I've just done a few minor upgrades to give me an extra edge. Don't just stick a turbo in everything and expect to win every race.

Never ever give a bad handling american car even more power, it needs better handling and deffo not more power.

you say that..but would mods like increasing the acceleration or lowering the weight really effect it in a bad way like giving it too much power does?

You're always going to be better off lowering weight than increasing power. Lowering weight can cause some negative effects since the power/weight ratio is higher so you could get more wheelspin and need to control the throttle better, but that's more than offset by the positives - better acceleration, better top speed, more agility and poise in cornering and less body roll, shorter braking distances etc.

yeah try i completly moded a skyline all the way and just became to hard to control unless your doing the oval track .
I've got a car that you can't even use there, will just spin constantly. That's bad handling :p

I've found that putting a good set off tyres on makes a Huge difference.

I'm currently at level 31.

Have a fully modded 430 which is amazing, had to put spoilers on to help it round turns etc, now it's a dream.

Also have a fully specced GT3, amazing car plus the special edition XBOX360 version which has ridiculous speed and grips the track.

The ultimate car I have found is the 1969 Ferrari you win from the Ferrari challenge, when you fully tune it, put bigger wheels on and betetr tyres it flies plus takes all corners without sliding around all over the shop.

I managed to lap most other supercars with it, it's rarity is 10.0

The best advice though as people have said is to lighten the cars first.

Weight reduction, then wider wheels, then better tyre compound. After that it's your call.

How about this as a car borrow thread :D

To save me valuable upgrade credits can anyone lend me both a

R2 class American car

and a

Lambo or ferrari V12 upgraded slightly/lots :D

I will use them to get the races I need then gift them right back to you :)

I know the game will get better but im too frustrated to continue..

Could some of you uber drivers gift me a couple of cars so I can race some different events and maybe get some cash.

All charity is gratefully received :D

tag = dufflecoat

i do have a Murcielago(S), F40(U) and F355(S) Challenge going spare but i would want something in return :P. A Saleen S7 would be nice ^^

Before you give up on your yank tank. Try http://fm2calc.ruinedmylife.com/ A nice basis for tuning your car.

Ive got a tuned up lambo murcielago you can borrow if you want. Lowered, new suspension, stripped out, slick tires, and a lot of engine mods done to it.

If you still need one add my gamertag and send me a note so i remember. Got work so itll probably be about 9:30 when i can send it.
