Forza Horizon 4 sound problems

Has anyone had sound problems with this game on PC?

I have lost all tyre and engine noise from my car today I can't seem to get it back.

I moved the game from one drive to another earlier today I'm not sure if that's related?

I have done some googling and it seems the most common fix is uninstall then reinstall the game. I'd like to avoid that if possible as my broadband isn't the best.

Just wondered if anyone else has had this problem and successfully fixed it?

I had that issue when i played the beta before the game came out, at the time i had my headphones plugged into my xbox one controller, when i swapped it to the headphone port on my monitor it gave me sound.

So if your monitor has a headphone port try plugging it into there or plugging it directly into the headphone jack in your PC, i obviously don't know what your listening device is connected to.
 
I should have given more detail sorry. I'm using the sound from the hdmi of my GTX1080 fed in to an AV receiver setup for Atmos.

Little update for anyone who may have the same issue. I had to delete and reinstall the game its now working again.
 
Thats pretty extreme! Maybe if it happens again there is just a settings folder you can delete.
I have had this happen 3 or 4 times but each time it was sorted with a game restart.
 
the entire sound of that game seems to have been completely overlooked by ms. The simple fact that you can't actually turn the obnoxious music off. Okay the streamer mode PARTLY works but doesn't stop all music and has to be turned on each time you launch the game.

I know it wasn't relevant to post and i have no idea about your issue sorry, but they just annoyed me with the sound that i wanted to vent.

Doesn't right on dpad turn music off?
