Forza Horizon 4 steering twitchy on Xbox

Hey folks,

I installed the demo for Forza Horizon 4 on my lad's Xbox One yesterday and took it for a drive using the standard controller.

Is there anything I can do to make the steering less twitchy? It's almost but not quite digital. I move the stick a tiny fraction and it steers a little bit but then when I move the stick further, it goes full lock.

That means that on practically any corner, it's very difficult to get round without a massive tank slapper and the inevitable spin.

As far as I'm concerned, this is unplayable like this. It's awful.

The answer isn't 'get a wheel' because I just want to sit on the sofa and play this up once a fortnight for an hour. It's not a serious simulation for me, it's just something to blitz around on every now and then.

What can I do to get proper steering?

Thanks.

Not really, one of the reasons people love the series is the handling.

I think it's one of the best out there for that type of game, miles ahead of NFS and the crew.

I don't think I've noticed what you are feeling, but then I tend to throw massive floaty drifts about at every opportunity.

Do you have a choice of cars in the demo?

I’ve tried again, reset the demo and started again, it’s no different. The stick is fine, in other games it’s clearly analogue but no matter what I do, no matter how gentle I am with the steering, it’s 10% turn after a small movement and then full lock with nothing in between.

The Senna felt strange at first as the front end really darts in.

I dunno then, it's not simulation but the steering feels progressive to me, can adjust line mid corner fairly easily with most cars but I do tend to have a more drift style (not the quickest) but I find it really fun, guess I'm changing angle with the accelerator in some cases.

First I've heard of this issue.
