Hello all,

I have an Xbox one S

This is not what's needed to install Forza Motorsport (to avoid it being unplayable 95% of the time)

You need a Xbox one "series" S

I can stream the game terribly having just payed £70 for the premium edition

I have also stated the following post of the Microsoft website / forum and It was instantly removed

Apologies for my first post coming from this angle but If I can save even 1 other person from buying something needlessly I've done what I intended to achieve

I have. You do not have a Series S. You have a One S. There is the Xbox One family of systems which includes the One, One S, and the One X. Then there are the newer consoles which are the Series S and X, which are in the picture I posted above. That game has not been released on the One which means it will not work in any console of that family including the One S you have. The game was released for the Series S and X.

what a waste of £70 .... So to clarify an Xbox one S is not an Xbox series one S ..... Thank you Microsoft for stealing my money.

This is the end of this for me .... I'll buy a playstation before I ever purchase any Microsoft product again.

This game does not stream well enough to be played

@ everyone .... Dont waste your money on this nonsense .... Mislead is an understatement

Thanks to Microsoft for removing the last £70 from someone who works hard for his money and then also screwing me out of a monthly subscription... all so I cannot effectively play a game .... Bravo

The game itself plays very well ... The physics are very good when it doesn't lag ... I'm a very reasonable person but this is the final nail in coffin for me and Microsoft

Rant over

What do you mean by stream the game? You trying remote play?

The naming convention of the Xbox family is very poor though, I agree with you there. There’s obviously a strategic reason for it.

I'm not familiar with the One S, but i was unimpressed with the One. Are there no graphics settings available, like "performance" for example?

The One is under powered by todays standards, but should at least play the game well enough if it's being sold for it. There might be a patch coming if you're lucky.

This is based on if it was downloaded and installed, not streamed. If in fact streamed, does your internet give okay performance with other streamed games?

It's not been sold for it. It's being sold for the series s and series x. Not the one s etc.

The naming conventions are dumb though.

I'd say the naming is for exactly this kind of ripping off. There is nothing dumb about it. Defending massive corporations for this kind of thing is cutting your nose off to spite your face.
