Forza Region Code?

Guys,

I've done a few searches online but I can't find out whether Forza 2 will be locked region?

Any ideas?

i was under the impression that region locking on games was a thing of the past.

I dont think it will be, i don't thing MS game studio's games tend to be region locked. And on the Forza forums Che mentioned something about people importing the limited Ed to the US.
I wouldn't guarentee it, but i doubt it will be region locked.

im sure i read somewhere that as HD is a global standard unlike PAL of NTSC it'll be difficult to lock stuff out?? maybe im wrong though....i usually am, lol

HD DVD films are region free.

If everybody had a HDTV everything could in theory be region free.

Its not worth the bother importing, by the time it arrives theirs only going to be about a week of difference in release.

True the Jap version arrives first but fits not likely to have English and their is loads of text in the game for the tuning and upgrading.

I've seen an eb*y seller that is selling a pre-order for the game cheaply. It says that it is Japanese but should run on UK consoles. I'm still no wiser really. Would be really useful to confirm or not :s

Actually, that was me, mis-quoting the seller. They seem to be certain that it will run.

The main reason i would import would primarily be down to price. But tbh at the moment i am only importing Sony games that i can't get here. I got Ratchet and MGS for the PSP, and on its way to me just now is MLB '07 the show for the PS3 (wish it was here) and GT4 US version to play on my PS3 as it has 1080 mode

Mixed region would be very cool for Forza, maybe due to the fact that a mate of mine is in the states from the 22nd-29th May and could grab me a copy of Forza 2 before he heads back!

Not sure if i'll take this risk knowing neither way, though!
