i went out yestaday and picked up a copy of Forza and man i'm enjoying it. Only done the arcade tracks and a few online games but i'm really getting into it now, it's much more appealing to me as a non-racing game fan compared to PGR but i really liked the old macrae games any ideas how Forza will compare to Dirt?

I tried the Forza 2 demo but couldn't get on with it. There are too many options for me as I want to jump straight in a get racing.
The Dirt demo on the other hand I really enjoyed, and will be picking it up next Friday.

I guess most people will prefer one or the other and in that respect they don't really compete with each other.

If you haven't already, you should try the Dirt demo.

I like Forza but tuning the cars part is way over my head but apart from the im really enjoying it :)

I have a coupple of old games ill be trading in for Dirt come Friday so ill have the best of both worlds.

I just bought Forza2 but...Dirt demo had me hooked on the same track over and over!

The one with the dune buggies + Pendulum playing in the background + First person view + Crashes = FUN!

I cant see myself playing the off road maps, but the race tracks were quite good and the damage is Awesome!

However, after all that, i bought Forza2... gonna have to justify to myself buying more than just Stalker, Forza2, Shadowrun AND Dirt in one week now :(

Dirts is definitely a good SP game but beware its multiplayer aspect is non-existent...ok thats a lie its there but its sparse.

Yeah there's no "on track at the same time" multiplayer at all in Dirt, which is really terrible for a 360 game these days - what were they thinking?

However the reviews all make it sound like a fine SP game, and the demo definitely looked fun, so I'll still get it I reckon.

Havent played the dirt demo but will be picking it up and trading forza in for it, not bohered about dirts online stuff as i dont go online anyway. As for forza 2, not enough tracks and i cant stand the way you have to keep swapping cars for diff races as some of the cars are impossible to drive around corners unless you have every aid turned on.

of the 2 demos I enjoyed Dirt more, had Forza 2 since friday and im enjoying it. Was going to get Dirt this friday but I figured Forza would then just get sidelined so im gonna get my moneys worth out of Forza first.

I'm bored with Forza 2 single player already, but multiplayer is excellent. I guess if I get bored with Dirt singl... no wait, it doesn't have multiplayer does it, nuff said really?

I find the challenge of driving the different cars in Forza to be the best part of the game... If you complete a racing series in lightweight cars and then move to heavyweight ones you'll probably think they are impossible to drive round corners. the only problem imo with Forza is that there is no qualification for the events and your opponent's cars do not scale to the PI of your car.... Sometimes you can absolutely blow the competition away (even on the hardest difficulty) and sometimes you don't stand a chance.

There is also a different skill to dirt racing (depending on the kind of terrain) whereas street racing/track racing is very similar.

On the other hand I seem to recall that The McCrea games you pick one car and stick to it throughout the game so this is a different trade offs to Forza having so many different cars (although after all the proving ground races and about 4 championships at Amateur all the cares so far handle pretty similarly with the standard pad, maybe with steering wheel etc its easier to tell)

Still enjoying F2 a great deal however, but hoping for a lot from Dirt

I've got Forza 2 and am deeply engrossed by it!, having to choose different cars for different events only adds to the variety.

I've also got the dirt demo and for me the most fun is the off-road buggies...the rally cars felt like an arcade game...not for me! Perhaps the final product will have the physics improved...but I highly doubt it, the sounds and damage quality is good though.

I will be waiting for microsoft to announce rallisport challenge 3 with baited breath, thats where my rally kicks will be.

rubbish some of the cars are a handful but you can set them up and its great fun using skill to get round the tracks in some of the beasts, they are only really bad when they are upgraded stupidly engine wise, i have a corvette at 870bhp tis a laugh and i use no aids at all, the track part don't really bother me there is enough variety and i am liking the fact i know the tracks when i race another car atm.

Sorry don't agree, just didnt enjoy it, felt it was also missing something that PGR3 had, although i dont know what it is.

Forza 2 demo don't do the game justice imo, best racing game i played on the 360 so far.

The demo actually made me cancel my pre-order and put one down for Dirt. But then the demo of Dirt made me cancel my pre-order for that.

Bought Forza 2 last night and I love it. Have myself a nice Golf GTI MK2 running at 380bhp :D

IMO, they are two very different games. Forza 2 is very realistic and is a great game for that, PGR3 just isn't realistic at all. Not saying it is a bad game because it isn't, just very different. In Forza you can't scream towards corners, slam the anchors on and go round nice and smooth like you can in PGR.
