Anyone have any real word reviews on this adapter ?

I want to get the CANON EF 70-200 mm f/2.8L II USM IS to use on my Sony A6000.

There seems to be mixed reviews on the web of it working, seems a good adapter for the money.

Can you not just by the Sony E -mount version. I wouldn't be spending that amount on a lens to go through an adapter.

the e-mount version is £2.5k,the canon is £1.8k

that os the price you pay for the Sony system though. I still wouldn't be putting the cannon on an adapter, rather if price is the issue then move to the canon system IMO.

I was thinking of moving to canon for this reason but it will be in 6 month or so, I might even get the sony lens and be done with it as the canon lens and dslr will be £2.5 k but ill only have one lens, still need to think about it for a bit before I commit :)

I would also expect Canon to release a new 70-200mm f/2.8 in the next year ir 2, and the rice will be £2.2k or more with brexit. Nikon just released a new 70-200mm f/2.8, both Nikon and Canon tend to to make new releases of their pro zooms every 4-5 years or so, but of course sometimes it could be 10 years.

Can't see a new 70-200mm from canon this year it would have to be something really special to be any sort of upgrade on the current model!

You could have said the same about the Nikon. These pro zooms get replaced regularly. They are the biggest sellers and by far the most common lenses used by professionals so Canon and nikon always like to create updates that not only generates sales but also keepers the pros as happy as possible.
