Found my new Linux box

So my housemate moved out, and left behind this..

But what's that inside?

As far as I can tell, it's an Intel Atom (not sure what clock), 2GB ram, a 500GB seagate drive tucked underneath and a gigabit lan controller.

I'm not planning on keeping the snes box. What form factor are these Atom boards? I might ditch the network card and get a better gpu that can handle 1080p and put XBMC on there.

haha i like it i believe its mini-itx or micro-atx so they can fit in even smaller cases

Aw why not keep that box? For the recoerd it's an original NES, not a SNES.

I think it would look better on my desk in a lian li or similar

So cool, Keep it and run it as like a small HTPC or TV recorder

yeah i would agree although the nintendo box is cool you can get some awesome looking mini itx cases expecially lian li

Nah, the NES box is much cooler. This is actually coming from a Megadrive fan so it must be good advice!

I'll see if I can tidy it up a bit. Need to mount the motherboard properly, and shoehorn a half size gpu in there.
