Happy Days, thought I had sold it years ago, it was tucked away in the loft :D :D

Only thing is there is no cable to connect it to the TV only the power pack cable, I am sure I can use a Gamecube AV lead to connect the N64, just wondering if there any better cable for connecting it to my Sony D3000 TV?

GC lead works fine, but as said above only scart afaik.

Just use an emulator instead, I pulled my N64 out of a cupboard but then realised I had somehow lost all of the 4 controllers I used to have... Still have about 30 games for it :D

Playing them VIA an emulator on 32" HDTV is so much fun, 360 controlers work a treat as N64 controlers too.

I ordered a Scart cable off ebay and it came today but when I use either scart socket nothing shows up just a pink screen but I can hear the sound of the game.

Was it an official one? , I got an official gamecube scart off the MM and it works fine with my n64.

On a slightly seperate note, did anyone here buy their PAL N64 for £249.99 as I did...?

What a shambles!

Yo! That would be me:p

I bought my N64 for £249.99 and then also bought all the games that were out at the time. Mario was £59.99, Shadows of the Empire £59.99 and Pilotwings was £49.99. Also bought Turok a few days later when it was released for a gobsmacking £69.99.

Pilotwings on N64 is still one of my favourite games of all time. Nintendo need to release it for Wii and then I'll buy one.

OH MY GOD! I remember paying that for all those games apart from Pilotwings - which I never bought (rented it a few times though). Interestingly, my dad still plays Turok 1 & 2 to this very day - he has the N64 set up in his bedroom (much to the amusement of my mum) and still plays lots of old games...his current fave is Sin and Punishment which he bought off ebay. I've been known to sneak a quick play of Goldeneye every now and then for nostalgia purposes.....
I also remember paying about 60quid for Lylat Wars when it came out - though that did come with the Rumble pack :D

It's funny - my dad has never been into the Playstation - the only PS1 game he has ever played is Castlevania. I've got the PS3, Wii and Xbox360 also, and he never has a go on then (though he tried Gears of War) - maybe he's stuck in the past.

Lylat Wars, what a game! For me one of the hidden gems of the N64 was Blast Corps, I think I've still got it for my N64 upstairs under the bed. Might hook it up while my wife is away this week.

the OP doesn't have Smash Bros?

seriously, order that, that and goldeneye = you sorted for 4 years easily :D

That's certaintly a huge amount of money! I can't believe how much Turok was... It was indeed an impressive game to look at, well, until Quake 2 was released on the PC.

Games I owned:

Super Mario 64
Turok: The Dinosaur Hunter
Wave Race 64
Legend of the Mystical Ninja 64
Mario Kart 64
Blast Corps
Lylat Wars
Goldeneye
Zelda OoT

...at which point my parents had bought my own PC, meaning the N64 was eventually sold. MISTAKE!

Ohh how I regret selling my N64, what must be 7 years ago now () for about £30
Super mario 64, THE best game ever :D

Nice heads up about the xbox controller & emulator. I think I have project 64 on my media center pc, just need a controller, the xbox one sounds ideal!

Dont think I will ever sell mine, infact Ive never sold any console.

I did, was at the shop on release day to get my N64 and Mario 64, cost me a good £310...

I'd saved up for like 2 years for it lol

Was frikkin awesome though :D

Mario64 was THE game, simply stunning.

Loved Wave Racer as well. Was a bitch to get the hang of but when you did it was superb fun.
