Founders Edition Cable Location

With a front mounted AIO the pipes should always be at the bottom so that any air bubbles sit in the top of the radiator and do not make their way around to the pump and can cause pump whine or even premature failure!

I was checking as there is still a situation where your comment is incorrect - this one is fine though, however Steve says at ~20:10

"Do not mount the pump in such a way so it sits at the top of the loop with the Barbs at the bottom". For some reason my head remembered this part but his pump is clearly below the top of the front rad so its not an issue.

with a 9900ks under a 250w prime 95 load pipes down it's 10°C+ cooler
pipes down = 85°C-89°C
pipes up = throttle
rad in roof = throttle

so year pipes down baby

Yeah I see, I have double rad but its at the top of case, way above the pump block. :)

I just ended up routing mine like this until I can get hold of a custom cable, the 12pin adaptor is a cumbersome thing for sure

Is that a meshify C case ?
The 12pin corsair cable does help. Here's my 3060ti fe... It's the best I could manage with my Meshify C

It amazes me that while NVIDIA spent a long time coming up with that new power connector that they didn't thing of the poor PC builder who has to make some sense out of it.

I think nvidia was thinking was form over function, on their cable design.

I doesnt bother me much tbh.

They are quality design, better than 3rd party cables, thats what matters to me.

Looks like a NVME drive mounted in an extender/bracket/thingamybob with a heatsink.

As for the original issue, looks much better now.

Yes thats PCIE 1x Slot 2 with an ADT-Link R11SL-TL 20cm
that slot is under the 3090

m.2 1 = Sabrent Rocket 1TB NVME SSD
m.2 2 = Sabrent Rocket 1TB NVME SSD
m.2 3 = Sabrent Rocket 2TB NVME SSD
PCIE 4x slot = Empty Shared with m.2 3
PCIE 1x slot 1 = Intel Optane 800p 118GB NVME SSD
PCIE 1x slot 2 = Corsair MP510 480GB NVME SSD (ADT-Link R11SL-TL 20cm)
PCIE 1x slot 3 = Toshiba XG3 512GB NVME SSD

Edit: See Post 10 for an idea

My Nvidia RTX 3090 FE came a couple of days ago I cant seem to find a nice way to route the cables
I will be getting a Corsair RTX 30xx Cable once they come back instock
but even then i suspect it will look bad

Has anyone found a nice way to route them?

Here are a couple of images of mine

Isn't that block upside down? Fan should be at the top?

Just like Yaayih! below.

I don't mind the position of the connector, works well if you have the routing for the cables.

I'm just waiting on a decent 12pin cable, might get the Corsair one.

Just a few hard drives then!

The pipes are very rigid and depending on who fitted them at the factory dictates the way around it wants to sit
If i put the rad pipes up i could have had the block the other way around

The pipes want to sit that way and im quite happy to let them
im sure the ssd likes it that way anyway
