Is there any way of doing this for free any more?
Regretfully it must be OE not Outlook.

I suspect the person I'm asking for has to take out the paid subscription to Hotmail.

it depends on how long they've had hotmail. I know that I can still access my hotmail.com in outlook if I wanted (assume oe would be the same) but I've had my hotmail account for well over 5 years now.

Thats the same with me.

I think it was a year or 2 ago that they announced that only people that previously accessed hotmail via Outlook or Outlook Express etc. would be able to use it for free.

Even if you have had your account for years but only now decide to use an email client I dont think they will let you.

Yeah OE still worked for me, until I move to Vista. WM7 doesn't support Hotmail at all!
