Foxconn boards?reliable?

Foxconn are like the Intel of mobo (and misc. PC hardware) components. I have a Foxconn X58 Bloodrage, about a year or so old, never had a problem. From what I hear, Foxconn are also very reliable in terms of build quality.

Foxconn manufacturing quality can't be doubted, it's an exageration to say that they manufacture boards for most other brands although they do manufacturer some parts such as CPU sockets.

Foxconn are a much bigger company than their reputation suggests as they make products for Apple, Sony, Nintendo, Nokia & many more similar scale companies

you know when you look on the back of a pcb board where it says fc does that stand for foxxconn, if so woooooo there a big underlooked company

Got a foxconn bloodrage gti x58, bought from ocuk 13 months ago and running perfectly. Their a massive manufacturer of boards for all types of desktops/notebooks/netbooks and more.

The only thing I've found a bit annoying is the lack of updates/bios for example on my board.

Their boards tend to be solid if somewhat unremarkable. I believe I'm right in saying that they tend to stick quite close to reference designs rather than producing anything radical.

Anyways, you won't go wrong with them if they have the features you require.

I always thought Foxconn were rubbish motherboards, along with the likes of ECS motherboards to.

I only ever buy asus motherboards as the quality is better. They don't always get thier motherboards right though. Look at mine lol.

I bought a foxconn h55 board really cheap the other day, havent got the other bits yet, but from looking at it it looks well made. It doesnt have a foxconn socket for the cpu though lol do they make a 1156 socket? My 1366 socket on my x58a-ud7 has a foxconn one on it...

Foxconn made one of the first 1156 sockets, but quite a few people had problems with them, and some of the mobo makers switched to another type.

Not sure what socket i've got in my board, but i think its foxconn.

Right so just as I had posted that I've never had any problems...

Upgrade to an Asus GTX 470 and been having difficulty getting it to post correctly without doing a CMOS reset before each boot. So contacted Foxconn support and their answer was...

Dear xxxxxxx,

Thanks support Foxconn products.

This may be caused by the imcompability.GTX470 V1 not in the support list.
Please use the gfx card in the support list .

Best wishes.
Foxconn Technical support.

You're ******* kidding right?

X58 Motherboard and no support for GTX 470!:mad:

Anyways, got it call sorted and by trying a Beta BIOS (G42), but what a terrible answer from Foxconn support!!

Just stick to Asus or Gigabyte!

Won't be buying foxconn again!

aye, foxconn technical support aint the best. Requires a fair bit of persistance (ie, opening more than one ticket) to get a half decent answer out of them
