Hi all,
We have two Apple TV3s in the house along with 8TB of storage on the network. Currently this is connected to the main PC which is running iTunes for Home Sharing.
I'm looking to build a small low powered device which will be used as an iTunes server. Would this fit the bill?

I'd look at installing 4GB RAM and something like a 64GB Crucial V4 SSD. My only niggle would be the OS, and obviously since it's running iTunes it needs to be Windows. Would Windows 8 64bit at £24.99 be ok? Can you set it to automatically boot to the desktop so I can run iTunes from the Start-Up folder?
also, would the CPU be enough to also run the AirVideo server app? My movies are mostly 720p with some 3D ones at 1080p SBS. Not sure the CPU will have enough grunt to encode on the fly for 3G / Wifi streaming
Thanks!!!!
