Hey looking for some help -

got a FP241W Benq monitor still under warranty, Benq have said they will replace but dont think that they still manufacture it - what would be a good replacement - within the benq range of similar spec?

Haha! DUDE make them source a panel. My FP241W broke a couple of weeks ago literally a week out of warranty.

The repair place say the panels are very hard to source. But looking at the current market for monitors, an MVA panel is the sexiest thing you are going to get your hands on (bar HIPS Dell U2410 which has many issues).

You paid over £700-800 for that monitor right? I remember purchasing it on day of release for over £800, and breaking within 3 years is an absolute joke considering my samsung is going 6 years now.

Unless you are silly with money... I would tell them you'd like a panel sourced. Looking through the BenQ range, you should NOT settle for anything else. The FP241W was one of the best monitors they made imo, for professional users compared the the generic consumer trash they are sticking out the doors now.

I didn't see one 16:10 monitor there @ 1920x1200 but maybe you can ask them what they think will be suitable.
