I am reading about 27" 1080 gsyc and 27" 1440p gsyc. I am interested in BF4 and COD.

What kit do you rate for FPS?

I have been reading about Ravic etc they all play 1080 and turn the settings to LOW and the mesh setting HIGH - what is that all about?

With different mouse settings for infantry, vehicle and air!

pod:)

So how come the Pro's do the opposite - there must be a gain to be had for low settings and higher frames per seconds.

By the way I meant First Person Shooter aficionado's.

Rroff you are using a Dell S2716DG 27" 144Hz G-Sync

Ahh interesting whats 1440p compared to 1080p, do you recommend it?

Who gives a single flying toss what a bunch of shouty and sweary autistic children do? I play games to enjoy them.

The irony is not lost on me.

Yeah. I guess bigger pixels helps.

Surprised no one has mentioned mouse mats and mice and settings.

I was referring to aficionados, folk with unusual enthusiasm for first person shooters. Any thoughts on that, cheerful thoughts please as we approach bedtime......:D

Talking keyboards I do a lot of typing, I purchased a Das Keyboard, a clicky one. It is great. It was a bit of a luxury but I would not go back. It is wired.

I like wired mice too I have an ancient wired Razer Lachesis. I have replaced the pads once or twice. Plus a Razer mouse mat.

I am planning to get back into BF4 and the new COD in November/December when I have more time.

I am trying to choose between 1080 and 1440. Hence the post.

Yes, I have a channel, but if I'm being honest, it's a 'ten a penny' one - for now. :)

The Doom (2016) video on my channel was recorded at 1440p, and although it's a pretty game anyway, I was still rather pleased with the quality - even when factoring in YouTube's compression.

I liked that tres good. Keep 'em coming.

I like following this guy

Dell S2716DG with a gtx 980 ti at 144hz

Mainly play BF4, all setting on low except for texture.

Tell more, .......what is the advantage of everything on LOW is it to maximise frame rate?

Check out the mouse that arc@css uses - Mionix Castor - looks interesting

a lot of equiptment doesnt make you any better you are good or you are not good..........you dont need to have fancy monitor, mice keyboards...............most of the best people i know at fps game on cheap mice tesco keyboards basic set ups..............awareness,reactions game sense cant be brought.it all depends what level you on about playing.

Well said.

It's a myth that harps back to the old days.

Turn it all low and get 500FPS FTW.

That is what Frankie1080, Ravic and Music are doing? They post their settings on their youtube channels.

If it was a myth why would there be a push towards 144hz monitors and beyond with sync?
