Ive used a ps2 pad and x360 pad in pc games and you are usually better off with the mouse except maybe for planes/cars prehaps.
The 360 pad works well and integrates easily, the ps2 one can be made to work but its really not worth it most of the time. I had it working with hl2/css and bf2 and it does make it harder to aim especially in a rush.
Ive sold both now, I just want a joystick for flying bf2 planes - any suggestions for something I might find cheap at auction maybe?
Tell your mate to get a wireless keyboard and mouse. The smaller the keyboard the better imo as its more comfortable
