Hi all
so i just got my new system and it has skylake cpu clocked to 4.5Ghz
I have 16gig ddr4 3000mhz ram.
gtx 980ti hof 8pack edition gcard
acer 120hz 1080p screen
Now when i start running steam games and my fps just seems to be a bit rubbish
i can set my details to max settings with No V'sync and ill get fps up and around 230fps but then it just drops off to like 80fps and then goes back up?
anybody else experience issues with fps drops with steam games
and also this annoying kind of micro stuttering,
i have done a fresh driver install
and it is a brand new build so there is no other issues i believe with the system this is really kind of annoying i have disabled the steam cloud and done the usual steps but it still feels less smooth than my old gtx970?
any ideas guys ?

Windows 10 64bit O/s btw...
And it seems to be mainly team fortress 2

Ok so I downloaded the futuremark app
and my score on firesrtike was 9783 ?
standard settings with no overclock to the graphics card
don't know if that is good or not ?
 
i will re run the tests and i will register the link..
so you guys can have a better look at the results

Ok guys ive run the test again and my benchmarks are the same
now my issue is how do I know I'm running the right version of firestrike?
I mean how many diferent versions are there?
and how do I know I'm not doing the 4k benchmarks ?

I'm not sure how to check these things kaapstad..
where can I find this in my cpuz software ?
also my motherboard is showing an error code 40
asus z1zo deluxe board it says in the manuel system is waking up from the s4 sleep state?
could this be causing any issue?
 
and how do I check what speed my memory is running at please kaap ?
sorry but I'm pretty useless with pc overclocking stuff or software

one thing I'm not sure if this is normal / standard but on the right hand side of my setup
there is NB freq now this is fluctuating a lot from aprox 802.2mhz to 2105.5
it is never sitting stable?
 
also on my cpu core speed it is going from 802.5mhz to with the multiplyer reading x8.0 (8-42)
upto corespeed at 2105.5mhz + multiplier 25.0 ?
seems a lot of fluctuating going on with the cpu and the memory ?
 
my machine was setup by ocuk
so they have done all the testing benchmarking as far as I'm aware.
it should all be set fine
the cpu is overclocked to 4.5ghz
 
yeah but if i reset the bios i dont know how to put my overclock back..
so im not sure i should mess about with it ?
 
ok i will run this test and then see what my results are.,
if it is the cpu.
will i just contact ocuk and then will i have to send the whole system back to them?
