FPS capped help.

Got the boy a new 240Hz monitor and the FPS in games and bench's is capped at 119.87(120)
in wandows the FPS counter shows 240

What have i dont haha. i know i did cap it to 120 in the NV drivers because Battlefield runs away in loading screens.
but i have run DDU and switch his gpu to AMD(RX6800)

i know i have dont somthing but what?

TBF 120 is fine he just wanted a bigger screen, but id like to test the screen at full 240hz.

Im using the DP cable that come with the screen, i can try HDMI?

Try the other display ports in the card.

Check you have a cable that is rated for that bandwidth, I can remember which iteration of dp it is though.

thats the one... only one HDMI and one DP supports that refresh rate.
