lmao.

I been playing some Killzone 3 and r6vegas 2 on my ps3 and man going from that on to my pc WOW.

The aim with control stick is so poor and difficult to be precise, slow and clunky.

Its just not even fun.

I think id be faster and have better aim with a real gun, maybe I shoudl use the move sticks?

I hate sitting on a desk all day but really control pads suck for shooting games.

Agree?

going to be interesting when CS:GO comes out with it's cross platform gaming, all the oldskool cs players against console pads..... oh how the console gamers will be crying xD

Yeh but its so bad it aint even fun.

We all know mouse has better aim but with console and pad is more relaxing, sit on bed/sofa big tv...it has many pros.

BUT the pad for aim is so bad id rather sit at my desk all day and work and play shooters than lie in my bed with a pad...thats how unfun and crap the pad is.

Well I've recently switched to gaming FPS on a PS3 & I'm having a blast. Yes there was a harsh learning curve but I just stuck at it & am now playing & loving MW3 & am breaking even K/D wise.
If I can switch & adapt at my ripe old age then anybody can, Kicking back on my reclining leather chair & playing MW3 on my 40" flatty with the surround sound blasting out is Awesome.
No more upgrades/system glitches/6 weekly Dust clear outs/sitting up my desk with headphones on/wondering whether a game I just pay 40 quid for will work etc etc etc etc

From playing on both consoles and PCs for years I would agree that a controller is less resposive, but we have known that for years. Although you are blowing it way out of proportion with usagage precise aiming becomes easy, u cant just pick it up and be great with it.

Im actually moving away from PC gaming as I dont notice much of a difference now, other than graphics, that makes me want to play or upgrade my PC.

Shocker as person playing with a pad sucks with pad. Blames tools.

Yes, it's not as accurate as a K+M, but with practice you can pick either up then play fine and enjoy games with them.

I see there are still PC gamers that refuse to accept or read up on the fact that the PS3 cross platform version will support K+M and be a completely even playing field.

I prefer using the 360 pad to k/m when the controls are done right, which is most of the time these days. The PS3 pad is terrible though, poorly placed convex sticks, huge deadzones and poor triggers make it worth avoiding where possible, especially for shooters.

@wedgie
I found the complete opposite, I had my 360 for over 3 year but just couldn't get on with FPS. With the PS3 the controller feels more natural & it fits & sits in my hand perfectly even though I have massive hands. I'm currently playing MW3 & am glad to be free of a gaming PC/Desk & desk chair & head phones which is swapped for my leather recliner my 40" flatty & my 7 speaker surround sound system.
Each to there own though a. ;)

Same for me, I can't play at a desk for long before I have to get up, I just don't find it comfortable. Although that's not the only reason I lean towards using a pad, I also prefer the more natural feel of the anoalgue movement.

guys, ive also heard that the keyboard sucks for racing games. WHO KNEW!

Only for playing Dirt 3, Wipeout and Carmaddegon work fine with a keyboard

I agree with you so much, all my friends play BF3, MW3 and Halo on consoles, they're so obsessed with playing on consoles and keep trying to get me onto them, but I've grown up playing FPS'ers like Doom, Quake and Half Life, all much better games BECAUSE they're on the PC.

I need to find some more PC-focused gamers to play against me on AVP on Steam

I think people who can't use a PS3 pad must be wrapping their hands around it. The sides/bottom of the 'handles' should come no further than the base of your fingers, not in your palms, which coincidentally puts the sticks in a great natural place for your thumbs.

I get on fine with both PS3 and 360 pads, but it always intrigues me when people say the 360 is more natural when one thumb must go higher than the other.
