fps lag

After i installed my new quad core 9500 AMD Phenom i get really really crap fps lag on counter strike sources :/ can anyone gimme some advices to boost up the fps again plz?

what is your ping/ latency, download and upload speed and gpu?

Ever thought it may be down to latency and not your "look at my e-peen" CPU?

Even with 500ms latency he shouldn't be getting FPS lag.

What cpu did you have before? In a game like CS:S it's quite possible that say a 3ghz A64 could be faster than a Phenom 9500 at stock.

well my last core was 3800 + and i got a new mobo with my new cpu, the new mobo is Asus M2N SLI - DELUXE

here is my full spec atm :

AMD 9500 Phenom
Asus M2n SLI DELUXE
2 GB RAM
8800 GT EVGA
80 GB HDD
650 Watts PSU

Any helpers ?

Did you reinstall Windows when you changed the motherboard etc?

Type rate into your console on cs, try changing it to 20,000 - 30,000 depending on your server
