hello, i have a 120hz monitor and dislike vsync/input lag. i read frame limiting is the way to go if you don't want your card at benchmarking temps and usage all the time while gaming.

question is, if i have a 120hz monitor should i limit fps to 119fps, 120fps, or 125fps? 120fps makes sense, but 125fps seems to be commonly used, while i've also read you should limit fps to 1 below your refresh rate. which one is correct? also since i'm using my hd 4000 while my discrete gpu is in RMA, what would the correct limit be for 60hz? (igpu can't do 120hz apparently)

No idea about your question but I would assume 120hz which is native is the way to go?

Is there a way of frame limiting without vsync on every game? for instance I have added a User.cfg in BF3 which does the job perfectly, limiting my FPS to 90 but id like to know how to do it in all games or is it engine related?

Hi, with after burner you get another program OSD in its in your system tray, has a plane with the number 60 on it, open that up press on the wrench icon, settings and its in there, to 5 seconds took find that out on google.

yep, you can use other programs like dxtory or nvidia's in-house program for fps limiting too.

thanks.
