Hi all

It seems that a few of my games, especially Crysis, Just Cause 2 seem to be running slower than usual on my Hardware. I cant really find a benchmark for Crysis to base on, but just Cause 2 seems to really slow down for me. How, My graphics card is a GTX 570, and, according to the "Concrete Jungle" benchmark in Just Cause 2, the average fps is around 41 and minimum is 31. However, when I run the benchmark, at the exact same settings, my average is 30 and minimum is 24. Crysis at highest settings seems to slow to a craw during really heavy firefights.

My graphics card drivers are up to date, and I was sure to remove all the previous drivers before installing the new ones, I also ticked the Clean Install option when I installed the new drivers. Just so you know, performance was also slow when I used the previous drivers.

I also have 4GB RAM at 1333MHz and a Phenom II X4 955CPU at 3.7GHz. This should really be running these games better than they are.

Also, nothing is overheating, the CPUs temps max at 51oC and GPU maxes at 81oC.

So, do you guys have an idea on what the problem is ?

Depends where you are in the game. Benchmarks often differ from real world gameplay (especially timedemos) so you need to try and find what part of the game the bench used. If you're playing Crysis at max settings at a high resolution, it's not surprising it lags like hell, one GTX570 isn't that much to tackle such a ridiculously demanding game. Try turning shadows and/or shaders down to high and you'll probably fare a lot better.
