Been out of the pc gaming scene for like 2 years and I fancy a new go at it :)

was addicted to BF 2142 in 2007 and that was my last proper online shooter fun.

played l4d a bit as well, also crysis but nothing compares to the fun of battle field, the vehicles, the multiple roles you can do etc

What would you recommend for a multiplayer then ?

is this new badcompany 2 any good ?

It is good, but the action feels slower than bf2142.

You could always try BF2, it is older than 2142 but I prefered it.

I have not played MW2 online but MW1 online was just infantry.

I say try Bad Company 2. It is only £24.99 for the limited edition online (which all I think is limited about mine is that it comes with a few unlocks).

I am currently having some issues with finding servers and some connection issues on BFBC2. I play BF2 every week without fail at the moment.
 
I would definately recommend bad company 2, it plays a lot like other battlefield games with a few differences. You might also want to try TF2 out if you havent already, one of the most fun online games around.
