To me it's important having a bit of suspense building up between enemies so less enemies are better to a certain extent!
Gets a bit overwhelming one enemy after another every few seconds! Anyone else agree?

I think Bioshock has the perfect balance of collecting stuff, searching and working out what to do next (some RPG elements there!)

Thought Crysis, half life 2, STALKER, splinter cell, fear and ghost recon were also well balanced. Any other suggestions?

I think there should be more first person shooters with RPG elements.
The 'sandbox' open ended nature 'GTA style' is also very good but quite rare!

Any games that are overly intense that do your head in? (unreal tournament 3 unfortunately does my head in but do think it's very good if in the mood!)

Not strictly puzzles but games with more substance to them than just shooting non stop!
Maybe i should have titled the thread differently.
Yes portal was very good, didn't really think it was a FPS though!
Now Prey was like a shooter and portal combined! That was a great game!
