Fractal Design Define S2 Blackout Midi Tower Case - Black Tempered Glass

Dl37GZo.jpg

Any owners on here? I've been looking for a case to replace my Cosair Carbide Air 540 case when I do a new build for Zen2.

It'll be my first watercooled build too, I'm planning on two 360 rads in it. If anyone has done a watercooled build in this case I'd love to see for inspiration :)

I've been through lists of 100's of cases, and this is pretty much the only one that ticks all the boxes for me. The styling is nice and sleek, there's a PSU cover at the bottom, no visible hard drive bays, USB-C, great watercooling support and in budget.

Cant comment on this Case.. but can tell you I had a Fractal Design Define R3 and itr was built like a tank. I had an Corsair Air 240 and whilst its a great design, its made of thin metal, and cheap plastic parts. If Fractal have kept up their quality then I would go for it.

I have a Define S with a 280 crossflow in the roof and a 280 in the front. Cooling a fully loaded (Folding@Home 24/7) a Titan X and a 1070 with both cards under 50C. I'd imagine a S2 would be even better.

@MikeTimbers very nice build! :)

I have bought this case now, I am thrilled with it. The build quality is a step beyond my old Corsair case for sure. I've got 90% of my watercooling parts ordered, now just the wait for Zen2.

Not in the market for a new case but i see Fractal have now released the Define s2 vision with glass top, glass front and 4x RGB prisma 140 front fans or the Blackout version comes without the fans, anyone interested?.

i dont need a new case either but i do prefer cases with just the main side panel glass. rather have a brushed metal front or mesh.

thanks off for a look

Never thought i would see Fractal case prices as high as this, £225 for the RGB version.

Think i would go for the Evolv x for £200.
