A few days ago, I accidently busted 1 of the usb 2.0 ports as the cable of my new srw-s1 steering wheel got caught around my wheelchair somehow and I moved not noticing it was caught. So the usb plug got ripped out of the port sideways, braking off the plastic part in the socket,, I got off lightly as I was thinking thats my £80 wheel down the pan, but amazing the wheel still works fine but the usb plug is a tad dented.

I thought I could buy a usb 3.0 upgrade kit to replace the panel, but na it wont fit the usb 3.0 version of the R3. So not expecting a reply, I sent Fractal Design an email explaining what I had done and how much it would cost to send me a replacement. Anyhow a few days later they replied by basically saying "send the case serial no and address and we will send you a free replacement in the post"

So happy days, and I still cant get over it:eek:

I had the same experience with Fractal with the blown LED on my power indicator on the front panel. Very quick turnaround and same response. Was really impressed.

Ditto I was missing a few bits from my XL and a simple email with SN and bits that were needed were here in 5 days, first rate customer service IMO, when it comes to looking for a new case i'll defo give them another look, well done FD

I received the usb panel this morning,, and it never came in a small envelope as they said,, it came in a a4 padded envelope as they have included the cables aswel. So I guess that costed them a bit to send.

Now I just need to replace it, but there's no rush as Ive stuck foam in the busted usb so it cant be used

Still cant believe they replaced the usb panel that I damaged for free. Top notch Fractal Design.

Great to hear this. I'm always conscious of customer service and aftermarket care with manufacturers, I've been burnt too many times in the past buying 'quality' products at a premium and then having no joy when they go wrong. This moves Fractal Design up in my list of cases to consider next time I'm upgrading.

Stanley stainless steel thermos flask. My grandfather give me his with cork stopper. I replaced the stopper in 1986 but when I needed another 2 years ago I couldn't find one. I contacted Stanley and they apologized saying they no longer had cork stoppers but if I would give them my name and address they would send me a brand new flask. So now my grandfather's flask is retired and I'm using the new free one.
